Who we are
At Clarendon Farm, we’ve been producing truly free-range eggs for over 25 years. Originally based in Pitt Town near Windsor, we relocated to a 300-acre property in Gulgong, near Mudgee, to embrace a more sustainable and self-sufficient farming lifestyle.
Our hens live in small flocks within portable nesting and roosting houses, allowing them to roam freely from dawn to dusk across fresh pasture. These mobile homes are regularly moved to ensure healthy land regeneration. We never beak-trim our birds and maintain stocking densities of 200 hens per hectare (well below the free range standard of 1,500 birds per hectare).
Our hens are protected by electric fencing and a team of Maremma guardian dogs, an ancient Italian breed known for their loyalty and protective instincts.
We do not use hormones, antibiotics, synthetic feed additives, or chemical pesticides and herbicides. Our eggs are collected three times daily to ensure peak freshness, then carefully graded and packed by hand.
You can find us at several Sydney markets, including Rat Park in Warriewood, Orange Grove in Lilyfield, and Pittwater RSL in Mona Vale. We love connecting with our customers and sharing the story behind every egg.
